HotHardware have published a review of the Pandigital Novel 7" Android tablet. 'The Novel 7-inch Tablet features a lightweight and small form factor that makes it easy to slip into your briefcase or purse. This tablet measures 5.25 x 7.25 x 0.5 inches and weighs just 12 ounces. Its 7-inch screen supports a resolution of 600 x 800. This is a resistive touch display, so it's not quite as smooth or responsive as the capacitive touch displays we've seen on the Xoom or iPad. As is fairly typical of resistive touch display devices, the tablet also comes with a stylus for input and navigation. A black plastic bezel surrounds the screen on the front of the device. A similar version of this tablet is also available with a white bezel. There are no buttons on the front of the tablet, though you will find a light sensor just above the display. The bezel is a tad on the flimsy side, though it serves its purpose.'

PC Magazine have published a review of the Pandigital Novel eReader. 'The 12-ounce Novel is about the size of a trade paperback, measuring 7.5 by 5.5 by 0.5 inches (HWD). That makes the Novel smaller and lighter than the 24-ounce Apple iPad, but heavier than the e-ink based Amazon Kindle ($189, ) and Barnes and Nobles Nook ($199, ). The Novel is made entirely of plastic, with a glossy frame on the front, and a matte rear panel. My test unit was black; a white version is also available. The top edge houses a standard-size 3.5-mm headphone jack, a power switch for the Wi-Fi radio, an SD memory card slot, and a volume rocker switch.'

CNET have published a review of the Pandigital Novel (white) eReader. 'Integrated with the Barnes & Noble's e-book store, the Pandigital Novel is an Android-powered e-book reader that has a full-color 7-inch touch-screen display, Wi-Fi connectivity, and multimedia capabilities. On the surface, this all sounds pretty good and when we first saw a picture of it it, we thought it looked a lot like the rumored smaller version of the iPad. The product is available in white and black versions for under $200. You can find the Novel discounted to $169--or even less--at stores such as J.C. Penney and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.'

The Gadgeteer have published a review of the Pandigital Novel eBook reader. 'The Novel is a solid unit that uses a rechargeable battery that can be removed/replaced unofficially as well as an internal 1gig Micro-SD card that can be replaced. The Novel also has a external SD slot that can use up to 32 gigs. NOTE: If you turn on the Novel with the external SD inserted, the Novel will not recognize the internal card. To utilize both memory cards you have to boot without the external card.'
