A review of the Meizu Mini Player has been posted over at CNET.
'Meizu may not have the familiar ring that Apple and Creative have to American ears, but unlike the other two, the Chinese digital audio company dedicates all of its resources to research and development of MP3 players, which probably explains why the Meizu Mini Player looked cool enough to attract the attention of the gadget industry earlier this summer. We've unfortunately come to expect that many MP3 players that look excellent on paper don't always turn out that way in actuality. So we were both pleased and surprised to discover that the Mini Player, which is available in either white or black at 1GB ($139), 2GB ($159), or 4GB ($219), is still quite likeable once you get your hands on it.

A review of the Dane-Elec Meizu (8 GB) MP3 Player has been posted over at ThinkComputers.
‘This is the M6 Version SP. It is literally smaller than a credit card, and 7mm thick. It is very light, after doing some comparing, I'd say it weighs about as much as a CD in a jewel case. The LCD screen is 2" x 1.5". There is a black frame around the screen, and the back is very shiny silver. There is also very little information on the rear of the player, Meizu, MiniPlayer, 8GB, Version SP, a SN#, and some trademark information. I'm assuming that it really isn't marketed that much for the United States. I'll talk about that a little later. There are three controls on the M6, a four-way control on the face, the I/O switch on the upper side, and a lock on the lower side. On the right side is a USB port, a connection for the lanyard, and a 1/8" stereo jack for headphones.’

Trusted Reviews have published a review of the Meizu Mini Player SL 8GB portable media player.
‘The Mini is not only well designed from a usability point of view, but physically and aesthetically it's impressive too - it bears all the hallmarks of considered design. The matt-finish aluminium back and sharp-edged glass frontage can't quite match the panache of Apple's accomplished curves, anodised finish and crisp detailing, but it still results in one of the more stylish flash players I've come across in the last year. There are slick style touches: the hold switch on the top edge of the device borrows its design directly from Apple's iPods with its simple lines and red indicator to show it's on, and the flush-mounted headphone and mini-USB sockets on the right edge just add to the sense of class.’

The Register Hardware have published their review of the Meizu Mini Player SL 8GB portable media player.
'The Mini SL is not a brand new design, but it has recently been given an improved screen, some new firmware and has shed a few millimetres around the waist due to the installation of a smaller, but more efficient battery. Beyond the fact that the Mini is small and light - it measures a compact 78 x 46 x 7mm and weighs only 48g despite a sturdy aluminium chassis - two features immediately separate it from much of the herd. The first is file support: this boy handles Ogg and Flac audio alongside the more common MP3, WAV and WMA. It also supports AVI and Xvid video files.'
