ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101 Review - PC Perspective

ASUS-Eee-Pad-Transformer-TF101-PC-Perspective.jpg

PC Perspective have published a review of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101. 'Build quality is robust. The back of the tablet is made of hard plastic, but its tough and thick enough to avoid the cheapness that is associated with the material. Along the sides of the tablet you'll find aluminum, and both the sides and interior of the dock are coated with the same. Most importantly of all, the mechanism which attaches the tablet to the dock is large and sturdy. It feels capable of surviving a few lumps and it's also solid enough to keep the tablet from rocking or swaying while attached to the dock. When used as a stand-alone tablet the Transformer's interface is not much different from the competition. The large 10.1" capacitive touch display is smooth and responsive.'

Asus EEE Pad Transformer Review - Tracy and Matt

Tracy and Matt have publsihed a review of the Asus EEE Pad Transformer tablet. 'The innards of the Asus are very appealing, however they are pretty much the same across the board. Very few other Android tablets are offering anything other than the NVidia Tegra 2 chipset. The chipset has been used in many tablets for the last 12 months and there are many more planned. I'm not going to go into how the chipset is likely to be superseded by a quad core variant before the end of the year. The Tegra 2 is a fast chipset, there is no denying it. It works incredibly well and for the first time there is essentially a level playing field that hardware manufacturers are keeping to. Of them all right now, the Asus looks the best, has a lovely price and you cannot play but be intrigued by the addition keyboard that turns a good looking tablet into fully functioning netbook.'

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review - Reg Hardware

Asus-Eee-Pad-Transformer-Reg-Hardware.jpg

Reg Hardware have published a review of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Android tablet. 'At 271mm x 175mm x 12.95mm, the Transformer is the largest tablet available. While significantly lighter than the Xoom, at 675g it's far from the one-handed holy grail that is the iPad 2, although it's comfortable in two hands over long periods of time thanks to an attractive, textured plastic backing and even weight distribution. Elsewhere, the Transformer's aesthetics are firmly utilitarian. In a distinctly vintage Casio-style, the 10.1in screen and bezel is bordered by a brown metal edge that houses a raised power button and volume rocker. Also along the line is headphone/microphone jack, mini-HDMI port and a microSD card slot - which, incidentally Motorola, actually works.'

Asus Eee Slate EP121 Review - CNET

Asus-Eee-Slate-EP121-CNET.jpg

CNET have published a review of the Asus Eee Slate EP121 (64GB) tablet. 'At the very least it stands out from most of the Windows tablets we've reviewed over the years, the latest being the new Acer Iconia Tab W500P. Windows tablets have typically underperformed in comparison both with more powerful Windows laptops and with other tablets, such as Apple's popular iPad. That Core i5 CPU means that, unlike nearly every other Windows tablet we've laid a finger (or stylus) on, the EP121 responds instantly in most cases, with much less of the sluggishness that has plagued similar systems in the past. The CPU in question is still a bit of a compromise. It's a low-voltage Core i5-470UM, and not part of the upgraded 2011 line of Intel CPUs. That means it lacks the better integrated graphics and battery-enhancing properties of the latest Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs. Still, next to the typical Intel Atom found in many touch-screen Windows devices, the difference is like night and day.''

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review - HotHardware

Asus-Eee-Pad-Transformer-HotHardware.jpg

HotHardware have published a review of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Android 3.0 tablet. 'The Transformer has dual front and rear facing cameras (1.2MP and 5MP, respectively), 1GB of on board memory, mini-HDMI output, a microSD card slot and a head phone/mic combo jack. Drop it into its $150 keyboard dock and you pick up a full-sized flash card reader slot, a pair of USB ports and, of course, keyboard and trackpad functionality. It's a total ultra-portable computing solution as a result, which makes the Transformer unique versus other Honeycomb-based tablets currently. The 32GB version of the Asus Transformer is priced at $499, while the 16GB version has a $399 MSRP. Comparatively, Motorola's Xoom is available in a WiFi-only version with 32GB of storage for $599 currently..'

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Review - Tablet PC Review

By Admin on May 12, 2011 12:07 PM | No Comments

ASUS-Eee-Pad-Transformer-TabletPCReview.jpg

Tablet PC Review have published a review of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. 'The Eee Pad Transformer looks a lot like the Xoom too. The display dominates the front of the device and is surrounded by a relatively thick black trim, interrupted only by an ASUS logo at the top and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera lens. The metallic-grey edge carries over from the sides and runs along the front edge, bordering the black trim with a pocked texture along the short edges. The Eee Pad Transformer back has a slightly rounded bulge, and I prefer this shape to the flat back of the Xoom as the Eee Pad is more comfortable to hold. However, the Xoom's rubberized and somewhat ruggedized build is preferable to the Eee Pad's textured plastic. Also present on the back is a large ASUS logo and recessed lens for the five-megapixel rear camera.'

Asus Eee Note Review - Pocket-lint

Asus-Eee-Note-Pocket-lint.jpg

Pocket-lint have published a review of the new Asus Eee Note. 'The Eee Note has 4GB of built-in flash memory and it also has a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 16GB. At the bottom you'll find a Micro-USB port, the microSD card slot, a headphone jack, a surprisingly loud speaker and the power and reset buttons. You don't get access to the full amount of storage memory though, as not only does the operating system take up some space, but the drivers and sync software are loaded onto the Eee Note. Below the screen is a set eight soft keys, left and right navigation, home, back and four that corresponds to on-screen menus. These allow you to navigate without the need to use the stylus.'
